Victorian Psycho

Deadline reports Margaret Qualley is attached to star in Victorian Psycho, a “psychological horror-thriller” from director Zachary Wigon (Sanctuary), based on a script by author Virginia Feito and adapted from her own forthcoming novel. Set in 1858, the story follows “a young, eccentric governess named Winifred Notty (Qualley) who arrives at the remote gothic manor known as Ensor House. Winifred’s responsibilities include teaching the children table manners and educating them about their family’s history, all whilst hiding her psychopathic tendencies. As Winifred assimilates into life at Ensor House, staff members begin to inexplicably disappear, and the owners of the estate begin to wonder if there is something amiss about their new governess.”

Utopia

A man searching for his missing wife learns she was kidnapped and brainwashed to participate in a Westworld-like fantasy theme park for the idle rich in the trailer for Utopia.

The Invisible Raptor

Meanwhile, an amusement park paleontologist must stop an invisible dinosaur’s rampage in the trailer for The Invisible Raptor, a horror/comedy starring Mike Capes, David Shackelford, Caitlin McHugh Stamos, Sandy Martin, Bobby Gilchrist, Richard Riehle, and Sean Astin.

Notably, this is the second monster movie about an invisible dinosaur after 1966’s Sound of Horror, which actually made the budget-conscious concept work really well!

Tomb Raider

Deadline reports that Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Amazon Tomb Raider series is eyeing either Game of Thrones‘ Sophie Turner or Bohemian Rhapsody‘s Lucy Boynton to potentially star as the titular archaeologist/adventurer, with both stars set to test for the role soon.

Invincible Fight Girl

Adult Swim has released a clip from its new action series, Invincible Fight Girl, premiering this November 2.

Superman & Lois

Finally, Lex Luthor becomes increasingly unstable in the trailer for “A Regular Guy,” next week’s episode of Superman & Lois.
