Barnet’s motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A1, from 10.30pm September 1st to 5am October 1st, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A1 southbound, junction M25 to junction Borehamwood, Lane closure for Urgent TFL structural maintenance.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A1, from 10pm September 30th to 5am October 1st, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 northbound, junction 1 to junction 5, carriageway closure and slip road closures for Parapet replacement works, diversion via TFL and local authority roads.

• M1, from 10pm October 7th to 5.30am October 10th, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M1 southbound, junction 5 to junction 1, carriageway closur for resurfacing works, diversion via Local Authorities roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
