The mum-of-four left a special gift for each of her children in her emotional goodbye before she departed for Australia
Coleen Rooney’s followers swooned as an adorable family update was shared on her Instagram account. The 38-year-old is currently in Australia competing on I’m A Celebrity.
The mum-of-four is one of 12 celebrities who have swapped the life of luxury for TV’s toughest entertainment challenge. The Croxteth native, who is married to Wayne Rooney, has handed access to her social media accounts to close friends and family while she tests herself on the ITV show.
An update last night showed her youngest son, Cass, watching on as he showed support for his mum. Cass was holding the kangaroo teddy that Coleen gifted him before she travelled Down Under.
The post was captioned: “Cass catching up on episode 3 with his kangaroo teddy. Keep going mum!” Coleen’s celebrity fans and followers took to the comments to praise the update.

Before she headed to the jungle, Coleen admitted she felt anxious about the prospect of leaving her four children for a number of weeks, but said extensive planning has been put in place to make sure everything is in place for them while she is away. She said: “I am looking forward to it.
“Don’t get me wrong. I’m really anxious about leaving the kids. That’s been my biggest thing. I’ve come to terms with it. I’ve planned and prepped.
“I’ve got an army of family and friends all helping out with the kids so they are going to be fine. They are probably going to have a great time while I’m away.”
Coleen left each of her children a handwritten note and a kangaroo teddy before she left for Australia. In her goodbye message, she also revealed why she agreed to be a part of the line-up for this upcoming season.
She said: “They’ve asked me for so many years now. I’ve always said no and put it off because the kids have been young and I’ve had quite a lot on. But this year, I thought, I quite fancy doing it.
“I would like to experience something different, do something for myself, meet new people. I’m looking forward to doing the trials.” Coleen also set the record straight on reports she would be exempt from the Bushtucker trials.
She said: “There’s been a lot of news saying I can’t do trials because of certain illnesses, but I can confirm I can do every trial so I’m not excluded for any. That was just a load of rubbish.” I’m A Celebrity continues at 9pm on ITV and ITV X
