Coleen Nolan joyfully announced that she has become a grandmother again, while on Thursday afternoon’s Loose Women. The star announced earlier this year that her son Jake Roche, 32, and his partner Georgia were expecting a baby, and she has now revealed they’ve welcomed a baby boy.
Sharing the happy news on the show, the 59-year-old gushed: “I’ve got some good news to announce on my baby boy Jake and his gorgeous fiancee Georgia had a baby boy. So I’ve got a little grandson now, I’ve not even seen him yet apart from pictures.” Co-star Kaye Adams then responded: “You’ve not seen him?”
Coleen then explained: “No! He was 5lbs7, he’s tiny! Really surreal, so emotional and just a bit… surreal as in, when one of your kids has a baby. To me, Jake’s still my baby and there he is a dad!”

The Loose Women panellist then explained how the couple want to take the first week to get to know their baby boy as couple, “but then they have no excuses!” she chuckled. “I’m going to hound them, then they’re getting married next July so he’ll be about seven months.”
Elsewhere, Coleen adorably revealed how ‘obsessed’ Jake was with the newborn. “He’s so emotional, already he’s like: ‘Mum, I’m so so obsessed with him and so in love with him.'”
Coleen shares Jake, who is the lead singer of a band called Push Baby – formerly known as Rixton – with EastEnders actor Shane Richie.
Revealing the exciting news that she was preparing to be a grandmother again earlier this year to the Mirror, The Nolans star said: “I can finally reveal that I’m going to be a grandmother again, as they’re expecting a baby at the end of the year. On Saturday, a few of us got together at my house for the gender reveal and, just as I said, ‘I think it’s a boy’, Jake let off the confetti gun and turned the living room blue. I couldn’t be more thrilled about having a grandson.”
Jake’s son is Coleen’s second grandchild. The star became a grandmother for the first time in 2016 when her eldest son Shane Richie Jnr welcomed a baby girl named Amelia Rose.
Recalling the moment she met her granddaughter for the first time, Coleen gushed: “It’s been a surreal few days. We were all in tears when Amelia was born. She is absolutely stunning, she was beautifully pink as soon as she was born.”
