Malo Gusto does not look to have forgotten about one player who left Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
There were loads of exits at Stamford Bridge, with the likes of Ian Maatsen, Conor Gallagher and Raheem Sterling all leaving west London.
Sterling only joined Arsenal on loan so could return to Chelsea next summer. However, Maatsen and Gallagher were both sold to Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid respectively.
Borussia Dortmund were also keen on Maatsen, but the German club could not agree a deal with Chelsea in the end.

Gusto and Maatsen were not Chelsea teammates for long. They spent half a season together before Maatsen joined Dortmund on loan and then Villa permanently.
Gusto, though, has not forgotten about the left-back. He recently uploaded a post to Instagram where he can be seen wearing Maatsen’s national team jersey.
Maatsen is yet to be capped at senior level, but he has made 19 appearances for the Netherlands’ U21 side.
As for Gusto, he has just the one cap for France so far. That should increase, however, as the 21-year-old continues to fill in for the injured Reece James.
Gusto really has the chance to prove himself to Didier Deschamps by playing regularly in the Premier League. Gusto recently assisted Christopher Nkunku in Chelsea’s 5-0 win against Barrow.
How has Ian Maatsen fared since leaving Chelsea?
It has been a very slow start at Villa for Maatsen, who is yet to start a Premier League game under Unai Emery.
He was also on the bench for the Villans’ Champions League match against Young Boys, with Emery preferring Lucas Digne for the time being.
Villa spent big money on Maatsen, though, while Digne is now in his thirties. You would expect Maatsen to get his chance eventually. For now, the former Chelsea man is going to have to be patient.
Maatsen will return to his old club at the start of December when Villa travel to Stamford Bridge.
