Singer Kenishaa Francis spoke about the rumours of her affair with Tamil actor Jayam Ravi in an interview recently. Breaking her silence for the first time, she accused the actor’s estranged wife, Aarti and her family, of “abusing” him. The therapist revealed that Jayam is her client, and she has the “evidence” to prove his struggle with Aarti and her parents.
Speaking to DT Next, Kenishaa denied any “physical involvement” with Jayam. She further said there’s no truth to the reports of the affair and all of this has been created by the media. Kenishaa shared, “There has been no physical involvement; we both understand our boundaries. I am self-made, and my parents are no more.”
The singer added, “But, as a therapist, I can tell you that the pain Jayam Ravi’s family has put him through is bigger than the pain of losing his parents. As a therapist, it was beyond painful for me to hear about his struggles with Aarti and her parents. No one deserves so much abuse, irrespective of the gender, and I can release all the evidence, with or without Ravi’s permission in the court of law, from my notes of our therapy sessions.”

Kenishaa went on to accuse Aarti of deliberately trying to “tarnish” Jayam’s image and lying in the media. She mentioned that the actor’s estranged wife had also been misusing his funds from the bank account. She said, “Anything to do with his divorce has to be questioned with Ravi and their leading families. Just because Aarti is afraid of what she’s done to Ravi, she cannot use me as a scapegoat to cover up her doings. What Aarti has been doing in the last one-month in tarnishing his image and to his bank accounts are questionable.”
The singer threatened legal action and urged everyone to stop dragging her name in someone else’s family matter. “This is not my circus and I cannot be battling this. If these rumour mills continue, I may have to consider legal action for defamation,” she said.
Kenishaa further denied the reports suggesting she recently bought a property in Goa with Jayam Ravi. The singer stated that the actor is her friend and he has been put under a lot of distress by Aarti.
“I don’t deserve hateful comments or attempts to tarnish my reputation. I heard Ravi and I purchased an apartment in Goa. I have been manifesting this for a long time and I really wish we did. But, Ravi is a friend and a client of mine. I didn’t even know Jayam Ravi well until he sent a divorce notice to his wife, who had blatantly lied that she wasn’t aware of what was to come. Any speculation about a romantic relationship is purely media-driven, and they will be responsible even if something happens between us in the future,” she explained.

Earlier, Jayam reacted to the speculations about his affair with Kenishaa and requested the media not to drag her into his divorce case. Speaking to the media outside Sathyam theatre in Chennai, the popular actor appreciated Kenishaa’s self-made career. He said, “Kenishaa is a person who sang in 600 stage shows. She came up in life with her hard work. She is a healer who saved many lives. She is a licenced psychologist. Please don’t involve her in this.”
Jayam Ravi added that these rumours have the potential to ruin his future plans for the welfare of the common people. “Kenishaa and I have plans of starting a healing centre in the future. That’s our goal. We want to help many people. Please don’t spoil it. Nobody can spoil it too. Don’t involve anyone unnecessarily,” he shared.
Earlier this month, the Brother actor announced his separation with Aarti in a social media post. However, in another post later, his wife claimed that he made the announcement “without her consent”, leading to a messy separation battle.
