Southern trains cancelled or diverted in Croydon this weekend


The work will affect trains from November 23 through to November 24.

We have compiled all the details on these works so that you can plan your journey this weekend.

Saturday and Sunday (November 23 and November 24):

Southern between East Croydon and Watford Junction

Engineering work is taking place between Willesden Junction and Watford Junction, closing some lines.

As a result, from 8pm on Saturday until 12pm on Sunday, no Southern trains will run between Shepherds Bush and Watford Junction.

 

Saturday and Sunday (November 23 and November 24):

Engineering work is taking place between Southampton Central and Bournemouth, closing all lines.

On Saturday and Sunday, buses will replace trains between Havant and Southampton Central.

Trains which usually run between Brighton and Southampton Central will be diverted to run between Brighton and Portsmouth Harbour calling additionally at Fratton.

Journey times will be increased on replacement buses.

 

Sunday (November 24):

Engineering work is taking place between Selhurst and Purley, closing some lines.

From approximately 1am until approximately 6.30am, trains will run with significantly extended journey times.

From approximately 1am and all day on Sunday, trains will run to an amended timetable between Selhurst, East Croydon, Purley, Caterham and Tattenham Corner.

Trains between London Bridge and East Croydon via Streatham will be extended to run to and from Caterham and Tattenham Corner.

Trains between London Victoria and Reigate will be amended to run between Redhill and Reigate only.

Please use alternative Southern or Thameslink trains to travel between London and Redhill.

 

Sunday (November 24):

Engineering work is taking place in the Lewes area, closing all lines.

No trains will run between Haywards Heath / Brighton and Eastbourne / Seaford via Lewes.

Replacement buses will run between:

Brighton and Seaford

Brighton and Eastbourne

Three Bridges / Haywards Heath and Lewes

Lewes and Eastbourne

Haywards Heath and Plumpton / Lewes

Journey times will be increased on replacement buses.

Trains that usually run between London Victoria and Eastbourne, Hastings, Ore will be diverted after Haywards Heath to run to and from Brighton.

A limited train service will also run between Brighton and Falmer.
