LISTOWEL races have been suspended after two medical emergencies.
The festival was staging its fifth day with four races only being able to take place before the delay.
The races were suspended as two racegoers needed treatment from the emergency services.
It is believed that a course ambulance was attending to them.
This was then followed by the arrival of an air ambulance arriving to provide aid.
As a result, the horses were delayed in making their way into the parade ring.
Fans have reacted on social media, and many have sent well wishes to the racegoer.
One posted: “Hopefully they are all okay.”
A second wrote: “All thoughts and prayers for the racegoer.”
A third commented: “Really hope the person is okay.”
A fourth said: “Praying for him.”
A fifth wished: “My thoughts are with the person who’s been taken ill.”
Another added: “Hope the person affected is OK. Clearly very serious.”
The racing was delayed as a result of the incident with the last one taking place at 4.05pm.
The race scheduled for 4.37pm was pushed back.
Racing TV host Tom Stanley said: “We are in the dark as to what the prospect of racing again looks like.”
The final three races are expected to take place once after the air ambulance takes off with a reduced wait time between.
